02 / AI patent drafting
AI patent drafting software
Prepare a first draft of the claims, specification and abstract from an invention disclosure. Edit section by section while checking each statement against your source material, then export to Word (DOCX).
01
Paste a disclosure or upload a PDF or DOCX
02
Review the drafting plan before any text is written
03
Edit section by section and export to DOCX
No filing forms or electronic filing files are produced. AI assists the drafting; claim scope and disclosure requirements need a practitioner's review.
What the drafting workspace prepares
Claims
Organize the invention into independent and dependent claims. Check the claim tree, antecedent basis and support in the description.
Specification
Field, background, summary, brief description of the drawings and detailed description, arranged for the selected office.
Drawings
Plan the figures the description needs and keep component names and reference numerals consistent across text and figures.
Abstract
Summarize the technical disclosure concisely and check it against the claims and the description.
EXAMPLE / FICTITIOUS
From a disclosure to organized draft material
A fictitious example prepared for illustration. It is not an actual output of this service and does not show a disclosure sufficient for filing.
What you provide
A conveyor has a temperature sensor. A controller stops the conveyor when the measured temperature exceeds a set value. Where the sensor sits and when conveying restarts are still open.
How it is organized and checked
- Claim wording (excerpt)
- A conveyor apparatus comprising: a conveying unit; a temperature sensor configured to measure a temperature of the conveying unit; and a controller configured to stop the conveying unit when the measured temperature exceeds a set value.
- Specification wording (technical field)
- The present disclosure relates to a conveyor apparatus that controls conveying according to a measured temperature.
- Figure plan
- FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing how the temperature sensor, the controller and the conveying unit are connected. This is a plan; the figure itself is prepared separately.
- Abstract wording (excerpt)
- A temperature sensor measures the temperature of a conveying unit, and a controller compares the measured temperature with a set value and stops the conveying unit when the set value is exceeded.
- Open questions to resolve
- Sensor position, how the set value is chosen, stop and restart conditions, and how the invention differs from known art. Missing values and effects are flagged, not invented.
How it works
01
Describe the invention
Paste the disclosure or upload a document. Review the drafting plan and correct anything that does not reflect the actual invention.
02
Generate and edit by section
Work through the claims, description, drawings and abstract. Compare each section with the source and edit the wording.
03
Review and export to DOCX
Check the review findings against the text, confirm the unlock conditions and export to Word for practitioner review.
FAQ
Can I file the generated documents as they are?
No. The output covers the claims, specification, drawings and abstract only, not filing forms. Novelty, non-obviousness, claim scope and disclosure requirements need separate review. The automated checks are not a practitioner's review.
Can I start before the disclosure is complete?
Yes. Leave unknowns open and check the gaps the drafting plan lists. If the draft proposes structures or effects you did not provide, verify or remove them.
Can I export a Word file for free?
Preview and export have different access conditions. Check the unlock options for your plan or purchase on the pricing page and in the workspace.
